"Elevator"
Charles Baxter is a high powered attorney
defending the ambitions of a developer against
the interests of housing project residents.
The residents claim the developer is intentionally
locating his plant near the inner city housing
project with no regard for the heath and
safety of the community. Angered by the
injustice and apparent racism of the case,
Bruce, a courthouse custodian, takes drastic
action. It is a decision that could cost
him his job and his freedom.
As
the story unfolds, we learn that Bruce's
anger is fueled by a long history of injustice,
some of which is surprisingly linked to
Charles Baxter's law career. Bruce is determined
to force Charles to understand, accept and
adopt his point of view. Viewers are forced
to question their own point of view.
