Movie:
"Just Passin' Through"
In Just Passin' Through, one person's
public dreams of justice, racial equality
and mutual respect confront another person's
personal dreams of success and individual
respect. Preston and his brother, Cecil, haven't
seen each other in 15 years. Now it's 1963,
the eve of Martin Luther King's March on Washington.
Cecil has discovered that his light-skinned
brother is passing as a white man. The two
men embody the dreams and personalize the
conflict. Howard Simon has set a family drama
that asks difficult questions about racial
identity - issues that remain unresolved today.
