DREAMBUILDER
MOVIE "SKIN COMPLEX" UP FOR SIX
EMMYS
March
26, 2003: "Skin Complex", the
2003 Procter & Gamble Dreambuilder Celebration
movie, has received six Emmy nominations
from the Ohio Valley chapter of the National
Television Academy.
"Skin
Complex" was written by Chicago native
Craig J. Harris and is his first produced
film.
"Skin
Complex" was nominated for:
- Outstanding
Informational Program (Jim Friedman, Producer)
- Outstanding
Achievement - Writing (Craig J. Harris,
scriptwriter)
- Outstanding
Achievement - Directing (Jim Friedman
and Brad Pruitt, Directors)
- Outstanding
Achievement - Photography (Mark Ovington,
Director of Photography)
- Outstanding
Achievement - Lighting (Mark Ovington,
Director of Photography)
- Outstanding
Achievement - Audio (Mike Duffey and Scott
Stolz)
The
Dreambuilder's parent company, Blind Squirrels
Production Group, received three additional
nominations - two for their "Breaking
Polite Silence" program and one for
their "Startalk" movie features.
The
nominations were firsts for Harris and Stolz.
In total, the previous seven Dreambuilder
movies have been awarded 25 Emmys. Winners
for this year are to be announced late April.
The
Procter & Gamble Dreambuilder Celebration
was created in 1997 to encourage inclusion
and understanding of cultural diversity
by sharing history, ideas and entertainment.
By providing opportunities in the fields
of broadcasting, journalism and the arts,
the Dreambuilder Celebration honors the
community and supports broadcast hopefuls
from all ethnic backgrounds in pursuing
their dreams.
