04/02/02: "THE MOVEMENT" EARNS SEVEN EMMY NOMINATIONS

Apr 2, 2002: Today's announcement of the 38th Annual Midwestern Regional Emmy Awards Nominees for 2002 included a record seven for this year's Procter & Gamble Dreambuilder Celebration movie, "The Movement".

"The Movement" captured nominations for Outstanding Informational Program (Jim Friedman, Producer); Outstanding Performer (William Stanford Davis); Outstanding Performer (Alan Bomar Jones); Outstanding Director (Jim Friedman and Rasheen Crawley); Outstanding Writer (Sandra W. French); Outstanding Photographer (Mark Ovington) and Outstanding Lighting (Mark Ovington).

"The Movement" is the sixth Dreambuilder movie to become eligible for Emmy consideration. The five previous Dreambuilder movies have won a total of fifteen regional Emmys and one, "Just Passin' Through", was nominated for a National Emmy.

The Awards ceremony is slated for late this month.
