DREAMBUILDER MOVIE NETS 7 EMMY NOMINATIONS

October 9, 2002: "In the Net", the 2002 Chrysler Dreambuilder Celebration movie, has received seven Emmy nominations from the Chicago region of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS).

"In the Net" was nominated for:
· Individual Excellence on Camera (Jonathan T. Floyd, Actor)
· Outstanding Entertainment Program (Jim Friedman, Producer)
· Outstanding Achievement - Writing (LaTanya Quintela, scriptwriter)
· Outstanding Achievement - Directing (Jim Friedman and Brad Pruitt, Directors)
· Outstanding Achievement - Editing (Joe Gressis and Jeff Miller, Editors)
· Outstanding Achievement - Lighting (Jeff Barklage, Director of Photography)
· Outstanding Achievement - Music (Wes Boatman, Composer)

These nominations were a first for Floyd, Quintela, Pruitt and Gressis. In total, the previous six Dreambuilder movies have been awarded 23 Emmys. Winners for this year are to be announced late November.

The Dreambuilder Celebration was created in 1997 to encourage inclusion and understanding of cultural diversity by sharing history, ideas and entertainment. By providing opportunities in the fields of broadcasting, journalism and the arts, the Dreambuilder Celebration honors the community and supports broadcast hopefuls from all ethnic backgrounds in pursuing their dreams.
